Ethan in the tub

So I took this video about a week ago, but I just thought it was so cute I would share it. He LOVES to splash, and splash, and splash some more. I truly enjoy the fact that he can now sit up all by himself, so it makes these baths possible...instead of having to hold him while showering, not SO easy anymore. I thank Becca and the playgroup of young tikes that helped him (i fell) understand that it is good and normal to sit, and how to. :) So thanks. So here's the cute video:

Our Thanksgiving With Our Little Dude

Chris playing in the ward's Turkey bowl. It was an awesome turn-out with young men and Elders Quorum. There were so many, people had to sit out.Ethan all bundled for the game.Walking home from the game.Chris opening up our Martinelli's.Our Happy boy.Us. With no one coming over, and it just being us three I didnt do anything special with my hair, now that I recount this picture...I think I should have. :)
Our YUMMY Dinner. It was fun, we kind of randomly assembled the food items. It was great. We also had Razzleberry Pie for dessert (not pictured)

Word to the wise: Don't talk with family at the same time that you are opening up a can of rolls. When it opens it has this crazy power behind it that may smack you in the chest. (my battle wound from the event)
It was a great thanksgiving, random, played together, ate, it was wonderful to spend some much needed time together.

Missed My Calling?

So, I am VERY grateful for my B.S. in Public Health Education, minor Sociology. SERIOUSLY, they are two of my passions, and hopefully has made me a better rounded person. BUT>>>

Sometimes I am sad that I didn't get my degree in Graphic Design, or Photography. Because it's just something I LOVE to do. Photography has been a passion of mine ever since the beginning of high school...friends can remember that....when they heard me say "get together" or often "hey you guys" they knew to run away...because I wanted to take a picture...but really I think they are grateful now because I was sorta the historian of the clan...but I am digressing...anyhoo. I REALLY miss it. I mean I have been still doing it here and there. But it brings me this wealth of warm-fuzzies, and excitement, and achievement. I am tempted to, in the near future, granting, I have Ethan now, and some kids hopefully on the way in the future, plus Chris's schooling, to figure it in to. But I would love to go back to school, and get something on that plain also. When I was first going into college, this wasn't really a big thing, or a way to excel really...unless you wanted to take wedding pictures. And wedding pictures are wonderful, but I wanted to do something more, and now...you can! Maybe it could even all intertwine...I mean I see how it does...Sociology...cultures and peoples, Health....physical, mental, spiritual...etc...condition. PLUS photography to try to capture it...I could see it. But anyhoo, not that I am any good or anything. I've just really been thinking about it lately. And in the hopefully, not so distant future it could be reality. Plus, I think I want to get a Masters in Sociology, but that's a whole nother topic. I just have too many achievements and passions. :)

Our Halloween Outfits

So previously we went to LA for The Dominguez Family Reunion, and while we were down there- we were able to go to Disneyland for half a day. While there we picked up Ethan a Disney hat and had them write his name in it, and we got for ourselves Mickey & Minnie Slippers...so we decided that we would use that to our advantage this Halloween. (on a side note....Disneyland at Halloween is awesome...they have a fireworks show that is amazing) So it didn't take too much to put our costumes together...dressed in all black...put a onesie and pants for Ethan we already had...cut some "ears" out of black cardstock, connected it with scrapbooking brads to two headbands, used some eyeliner for noses and whiskers...and there you go. Chris was so scared that no one...kids including would know who he was...but every child, and parents knew that came up to him. When we went to Target to get some things...he heard a little kid say "look mom, it's mickey..." and follow him with his eyes...that made Chris happy. It was fun, we are glad we did it...even if it was just for a short time :)

Carving Some Pumpkins

So before I start, I forgot to totally take a picture of Chris's pumpkin finished...maybe I will still get one later, as it is still in front of our apartment still. But here is the photos of progress. We decided to do it - or rather didn't make time for it until Halloween day-before we left to do a few other things...but this is what we came up with, Ethan kept wanting to get into everything also...so we had to put him in the pack n play...as you may notice the transition in the pictures :) Wierdly - this is the first time Chris and I have done this together through dating, engagement, or marriage...how did that happen?
